Vere Clesse is emerald-gold in color, dry but well-rounded, and fruity with a superb concentration. Very different from its brother, Saint-Veran, Vere Clesse has more honey, butter and toasted bread aromas.
As an aperitif its refreshing taste sharpens the palate but it marries well with oysters, shellfish, fish, snails and andouillettes. Its richness allows it to pair even better with fish and white meat with sauce.
The best temperature to serve a Vire-Clesse is between 11 - 13 C.

This Sangiovese "in purezza" (pure) Genius Loci is produced with selected grapes grown on a single vineyard belonging to the Burchino Estate, called Le Corti. Le Corti Cru is characterized by its particular exposition and the rich soil. The vines are cultivated with the cordon spur training system in order to obtain from 1 to 2 kg of grapes per vine.
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand. After the primary fermentation in stainless steel the malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques where later on the wine is refined for a minimum period of 12 months
"This bright ruby red wine has an elegant impact on the nose with hints of lemon on a raspberry background. Warm and passionate with slight tannins this product lingers on the palate and is ready to drink now but will age well on its graceful balance." by Cippi Pitschen
