85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Shiraz PH: 3,48 Residual sugar: 0,23 g/l The heart of the Chianti region, green rolling hills, seemingly endless spreading of vineyards and olive groves, of oak and holm-oak woods, ancient villages where the history of centuries has given strength to the finest traditions: from this sanctuary of harmony and peace we are glad to introduce you the most precious fruit of our toil: the red wines of Campomaggio. This wine comes from a selection of the best sangiovese vines blended with a small portion of cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from the campomaggio vineyard. After fermentation the wine is aged for 12 months in barrique, and in bottles for a further 6 months. The campomaggio red has a lively ruby red color with light garnet hues, elegant, a full bouquet with a pleasant hickory scent. The taste is dry, full-bodied with a slight initial tannin flavor which develops into a spicy taste. It is an ideal wine to accompany grilled meats, games and cheeses. Orlando Abrigo Barbaresco Vigna Rongallo D.O.C.G. is created from the Lampia subvariety of Nebbiolo grapes at the Rongallo vineyard in the city of Treiso in the Piemont region.
It is ruby red, with a rich, complex, and highly elegant bouquet which reveals layers of violets, plums, cherries, cinnamon, pepper, and licorice, topped by tobacco and white truffles. Its dry, well-balanced flavour starts out firm and smooth and becomes gradually more elegant and harmonious, with a lingering finish. Best served at room temperature.
