Varietal blend 100% Sangiovese
Total acidity: 5,50 g/l
PH: 3,50
Residual sugar: 0,8 g/l
Dry Extract: 31 g/l

This Sangiovese "in purezza" (pure) Genius Loci is produced with selected grapes grown on a single vineyard belonging to the Burchino Estate, called Le Corti. Le Corti Cru is characterized by its particular exposition and the rich soil. The vines are cultivated with the cordon spur training system in order to obtain from 1 to 2 kg of grapes per vine.

The grapes are selected and harvested by hand. After the primary fermentation in stainless steel the malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques where later on the wine is refined for a minimum period of 12 months

"This bright ruby red wine has an elegant impact on the nose with hints of lemon on a raspberry background. Warm and passionate with slight tannins this product lingers on the palate and is ready to drink now but will age well on its graceful balance." by Cippi Pitschen

CULINARY SUGGESTIONS by Chiara Sajiz Chops, rack of lamb, pork steaks, chicken, pasta al pesto.

Varietal blend:
85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Shiraz
PH: 3,48
Residual sugar: 0,23 g/l

The heart of the Chianti region, green rolling hills, seemingly endless spreading of vineyards and olive groves, of oak and holm-oak woods, ancient villages where the history of centuries has given strength to the finest traditions: from this sanctuary of harmony and peace we are glad to introduce you the most precious fruit of our toil: the red wines of Campomaggio.

This wine comes from a selection of the best sangiovese vines blended with a small portion of cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from the campomaggio vineyard. After fermentation the wine is aged for 12 months in barrique, and in bottles for a further 6 months. The campomaggio red has a lively ruby red color with light garnet hues, elegant, a full bouquet with a pleasant hickory scent. The taste is dry, full-bodied with a slight initial tannin flavor which develops into a spicy taste. It is an ideal wine to accompany grilled meats, games and cheeses.

"This elegant, full-bodied blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Shiraz offers sweet notes of strawberry and berry fruit, with flavors of leather, spice and vanilla. Supple texture and admirable finish. A great "Supertuscan." Cippi Pitschen

Ideal with roast, game and spice types of cheese.

Serafino has introduced a label named McLarens on the Lake to compliment their successful premium range. Their goal has been to produce a light, easy drinking wine that caters for the everyday consumer at an affordable price.

As a part of the picturesque landscape at McLarens on the lake, a giant 300 year old Eucalypt tree towers over the boutique winery. It is a perfect image to symbolize the strength and character of the wines.

This Cabernet is the final episode to the McLarens on the Lake Trilogy. The fruit is selected from their Communication Road vineyard near Maslins Beach.

The bouquet displays ripe red currant, morello cherry and cedar, while the palate shows blackberry flavours complemented by spicy oak overtones.

The release of the 2008 vintage of Marilyn Merlot on June 1st (the birth date of Marilyn Monroe) celebrates the 24th vintage of a wine appreciated by fans of the iconic star, collectors of Marilyn memorabilia, and lovers of fine Napa Valley wines.

Winemakers Notes: "The 2008 vintage Marilyn Merlot is the 24th release of this fine wine. It is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was aged in 100% oak barrels, 35% of which were new for this vintage. Aromas of Herbes de Provence, primarily thyme and lavender complement the oak components of vanilla and smoke from the wood. Moderate alcohol and good acidity make this wine a good pairing with fine foods. Vineyard locations for this wine are from our long time growers in Yountville and Oakville regions of the Napa Valley."

Nova Wines Marilyn Cabernet is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot. This classically styled Cabernet has aromas of cassis, black currants, and toasty oak. The flavours are a good balance of fruit and acidity. Adding Merlot to the blend softens the more aggressive texture of the Cabernet, without compromising the wine's aging ability.

This wine is the result of experimentation, and demonstrates the Langhe area's natural aptitude for the growing of quality wines.

Bright deep purple red in colour, its mallow and cherry aromas merge on the nose with tobacco and vanilla from the wood.

A wine of great stuffing and personality which will keep for many years. At its best after three years.

GRAPES CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Main Features: Ruby red intense colour with slight burgundy hues. Scent typically of very ripe fruits and slightly toasted wood. Full, balanced taste tending to velvety with notes of ripe mussel plum and cherry, mulberry and blackberry. The feature which makes unique the Primitivo of Gioia del Colle is the toasted almond aftertaste.

Best at temperature: 18 - 20 C

Best with: Pasta with gravy, strong flavoured dishes like as meat, game, grilled fish and aged cheese. The Riserva Speciale is particularly pleasant with chocolate sweets.

Further information: The particular though unusual affinity of our red wines with spicy dishes of fish is owing to the fact that the vineyard is located in an area where originally was the sea. This assertion is confirmed by the finding of fossils during the detailed and profound excavation, which involved the breaking down of materials, to make the soil prepared for the plantation of the actual vineyard. This way to prepare the soil, in fact forms an innovative and adequate drainage system by way of fresh rain water, which allowed the land to remain subtle leading the way to richer soil and a more productive vine.

Grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Ciliegiolo

Vinification and Refinement: This Chianti Superiore is the result of a careful selection in Burchino vineyard, inside Colline Pisane production area, of the best Sangiovese grapes together with a small portion of an autochthon grape, Ciliegiolo. Hand picked grapes are immediately fermented in the modern cellars of Burchino. A prolonged maceration with the skins gives to the wines complex aromas and a fruity scent. The ageing takes place for over a year in traditional Slavonian oak casks. The wine is refined in bottle for a further period.

Description: Intense ruby red colour. Characteristic bouquet with plenty of cherry, leather and cedars flavours. The round mouthful with notes of liquorice and tar is wrapped around ripe almost candied fruit.

Food Matches: Ideal with steaks and grilled meats, perfect with mature cheeses. Serve at room temperature.
