Maison des Bulliats is a small family run vineyard in the Régnié Grand Cru region of Beaujolais situated between Brouilly and Morgon. The property is dominated by the pretty village of Régnié-Durette, known for its church with its twin bell-towers.The mature vines have an average age of 40 years. The soil is mainly granitic and sandy, rich in the minerals necessary for the Gamay grape to flourish. The grapes are hand picked and meticulously sorted, and the wine is vinified and bottled on the premises.
Gamay Regnie is a stunning ruby red colour with hints of violet. Aromas of fresh red fruit such as blackberries and red currents. A medium bodied and well structured wine with a wonderful balance between fruits and minerals. Flavours stay long on the palette with a hint of pepper and spice.
The 2006 vintage was featured in the wine guide 'Had a Glass 2010' where it is stated that 'Cru Beaujolais like this Regnie is the wine of the future'.
Preferably served slightly chilled at a temperature of 14 - 15 C. An excellent accompaniment to pates, meats and cheeses.
An excellent accompaniment to all fine foods and a delightful wine for any occasion.
