MATURED: Following initial maturation in ex bourbon casks, this whisky has spent a further 31 months in a single Chateauneuf Du Pape Cask. This is the newest addition to the SFTC range.
An explosion of berries on the palate, dark chocolate and vanilla characters are also much in evidence.
MATURED: 19.5 years maturation in plain oak hogshead, followed by finishing in a fresh Port Pipe for a further 66 months.
To explore how the complexity if this product pleasures the palate at full strength and also differing levels if dilution, it has been battled at cask strength.
MATURED: Edradour's latest product - a collaborative bottling with Scottish singer songwriter Dougie MacLean. Dougie was personally involved with the whisky cask selection. The whisky had been finished in Oloroso sherry casks for 42 months.
Rich on the nose, complex on the palate. Rich fruits and chocolate abound.
MATURED: Ballechin is the heavily Peated Malt distilled at Edradour since 2003, using malt peated to at least 50ppm. This 4th release in the Discovery Series, has been matured solely in first fill Oloroso Sherry butts. Limited to 6,000 bottles worldwide.
The heavy phenols are tempered by the richness of fruit and chocolate coming through from the Oloroso casks.
